Ariel Haubrich, M.Ed. Psych
Ariel is the Program Manager and coordinates and supervises the work of WOW. Ariel loves to be a part of exciting and imaginative initiatives, and that makes this the place to be! She has a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and comes from a background in counselling, education and program development. Ariel plans and participates in many of the programs, provides training and information to schools and the community, supports and educates staff and students, and helps any visions you may have for health and wellness programming in your schools and community come to life! Ariel has many favorite quotes and "words to live by," but one she always returns to is, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." ~African Proverb.
Ariel's office is based out of Wainwright High School, but she can be seen in the hallways and events of all the schools and at various government and community meetings and networking events. She has both administrative and clinical roles along with programming which keeps her busy and most easily reached via phone or email!

Ness Palacpac, B.A. Psychology
Ness is a Wellness Facilitator and works based out of Wainwright High School, Irma Public School and E.H. Walter School in Paradise Valley.
Originally from Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, Ness moved to the Wainwright area in 2024. She studied Psychology at St. Thomas University and brings valuable experience from her work with a New Brunswick non-profit, where she supported at-risk youth and individuals with complex diagnoses, collaborating closely with Social Development and interagency partners.
Since fall 2024, Ness has also worked as an Educational Assistant at Irma School, which inspired her ongoing pursuit of a Bachelor of Education. She is passionate about student wellness and education, and is actively involved in the community—as a volunteer in local sports, Vice Chair of the Irma School Advisory Council, and an advocate for mental health and wellbeing. In her spare time, Ness is also a lifestyle and portrait photographer—you’ll often find her behind the lens capturing moments throughout the community. Ness is guided by the quote, “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how” – Friedrich Nietzsche. She is dedicated to helping others find their purpose and thrive.

Kaleigh Dort, CYC
Kaleigh is a Wellness Facilitator based out of Wainwright Elementary School.
Kaleigh has lived in Wainwright her whole life and even attended Buffalo Trail Public Schools. She has an educational background in Child and Youth Care, Community Mental Health, and holds a Bachelors Degree in Human Service Administration. Kaleigh has many years of experience working with adults and families in the community, and is passionate about learning and always eager to explore new ideas and expand her knowledge. Outside of school, you'll find her running, hiking, and volunteering on many community committees. She is also active in our local community theatre, teaches children's yoga and loves spending time with her dog. She is patient, calm, and has a great sense of humor which makes her a great fit for working with students of Wainwright Elementary. Kaleigh’s current favorite quote is one from Henry Ford, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t - you’re right.”

Shannon Fife, BHSA, CPHS
Shannon is a Wellness Facilitator for the Buffalo Trail South Schools (Chauvin, Edgerton, Provost, Amisk & Hughenden). Her office is based in the Edgerton School, but you will see her at all five schools in the hallways, classrooms and community events.
Shannon completed post-secondary studies in Recreation Therapy then continued to Human Service Administration. This additional education broadened her skills to be an effective leader in the field. Shannon focused her Capstone Project on the restructuring of her former organization’s wellness program with a holistic perspective for the individual. Furthermore, Shannon is studying for her Masters of Human Services specializing in mental health to deepen her scope of understanding and credentials in this field. This practical experience combined with working directly with school staff, students and families will be an excellent complement to the Wow Program.
Shannon has worked with children and families for her entire career whether that was re-engaging high risk youth back into their communities or supporting children with complex needs to strengthen their abilities to find connection and meaning within their world. She is a true believer in nourishing all aspects of the mind, body and soul that is why the WOW program is the right place for her!
